Fort Ridgely Historic Site

Fort Ridgely Historic Site is looking to fill a few Site Guide positions for the 2020 season. The season runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day and is open Friday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm & Sunday 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The Site Guide acts as the public face for the Historical Society. Duties include opening and closing the site, greeting all visitors, answering phones, selling merchandise and conducting tours. The Site Guide is responsible for administering daily activities of the site when on duty; excellent customer service, site retail operations, interpretation, and possible light site maintenance. The Site Guide is responsible for communicating ongoing site information to the Site Manager and/or Executive Director. This could include but is not limited to; phone messages, visitor questions, building issues, monetary discrepancies, or other problems and concerns. The Site Guide may occasionally participate in other core site functions like public events, research, and other work as assigned by the Site Manager.
