Nicollet County Historical Society to Host its Annual Meeting with Featured Speaker Rachael Hanel

Saint Peter, MN (March 1, 2024) – The Nicollet County Historical Society is pleased to announce its Annual Meeting covering 2023 on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at the Treaty Site History Center at 1851 N. Minnesota Ave., Saint Peter, MN. The doors will open at 1:00 p.m., with the business meeting starting at 1:30 p.m., followed by this year’s featured speaker, Rachael Hanel, tentatively scheduled for 2:00 p.m. The meeting is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be provided.

Join us for an enlightening afternoon as Rachael Hanel provides a deeper understanding of Camilla Hall, a Saint Peter resident whose notoriety stems from her association with the Symbionese Liberation Army. To accompany Rachael Hanel’s talk, her exhibit with NCHS, More Than a Headline: A Closer Look at the Art and Life of Camilla Hall, opens at the NCHS annual meeting. The display showcases several of Camilla’s prints and provides an overview of Camilla’s life—from her girlhood in St. Peter to her move to Minneapolis, Los Angeles, and ultimately to Berkeley, where her fate was sealed.

RSVPs are required by March 20, 2024. For more information or to RSVP, please get in touch with the Nicollet County Historical Society at 507-934-2160 or [email protected].
